C.Re.San.


The Reference Regional Centre for Animal Health (C.Re.San) was established with the Campania DGR n.859 29/12/2015, modified with Memorandum of understanding (n.2019 0000014) 09/8/2019, subscribed by Campania Region, Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Production of the University of Naples Federico II, ASL Salerno and Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale del Mezzogiorno.

The C.Re.San. pursues the following objectives in the field of parasitic and infectious diseases of domestic animals:

- Implementation of regional information systems and related databases in collaboration with ORSA and OEVRC;

- Development of new models and technologies applied to the control of parasitic and infectious diseases of interest to Veterinary Public Health;

- Support to the local ASSLL services in extraordinary and emergency events;

- Promotion and analysis of new development areas, including organization, in particular in the field of epidemic emergencies;

- Research applied to the identification and management of hazards related to pets in the field of food safety and prophylaxis and management of infectious and parasitic diseases, including those transmitted by vectors;

- Training, technical updating and information on parasitic and infectious diseases of domestic animals, addressed to AA.SS.LL. official control officer.
